SEP2 are excited to announce important changes to our branding and messaging: a migration to the .security top level domain (TLD) and the adoption of the Wingman brand across all of our services.
These changes underscore our commitment to protecting digital information, mitigating cyber threats, and providing excellent and reliable services on a global scale. Having celebrated our successful launch in Ireland in April 2024, our team has continued to look to the future with other markets in mind. This milestone marked the beginning of our international expansion, and we are thrilled to see the positive reception from our Irish customers.
Our participation in the Women in Tech Trade Mission in New York and the Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) in Singapore in November 2024 further underscored our dedication to innovation and global collaboration. These events provided us with invaluable insights and opportunities to connect with industry leaders and potential partners, paving the way for future growth and success.
We are committed to maintaining this momentum and exploring new markets to bring our solutions to a wider audience. With this in mind, we have also decided to expand our Wingman brand to encompass all our core services offerings.
Wingman NounÂ
- A pilot whose plane is flying behind and to the side of a plane that is leading a group of planes flying together
The traditional military definition of a “Wingman” refers to the pattern in which fighter jets fly. There is always a lead aircraft and another which flies off the right wing of and behind the lead. This second pilot is called the “Wingman” because he or she primarily protects the lead by “watching his back.”Â
Previously our Wingman service referred only to some of our offerings. However, this methodology reflects in the work we do across all our services: Managed Detection and Response, Endpoint Detection and Response, Managed Firewalls, Virtual Chief Information Security Officer, Vulnerability Management Detection and Response, and Email and Collaboration Security. What remains consistent across our varied portfolio is our commitment to supporting our customers with the best security. Â
Please be aware these changes will be implemented over the coming weeks. The majority of SEP2’s communications will come from .security by 20 February. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Head of Sales Jake Newbury.
